” I don’t ask you to understand me. Between us all the time were those jewels, like a fire – a fire in my brain that separated us – those jewels which I wanted all my life. I don’t know why… Goodbye, Paula.” – Gregory Anton- Gaslight 1944
” No matter how close I work, the backgrounds are very important in my photographs. In Paris the beauty of the architecture breaths with every image”
Recently I’ve managed to take some time off work and venture to Paris with my lovely friend Julie. I had a great weekend away. Julie is a regular Paris visitor and she knows where to go, so when she asked me to go for a few days, I didn’t even hesitate as I knew It would be an amazing experience.
We arrived in Paris on friday evening. We were staying on the 18th, which is pretty much Montmartre, the excitement kicked in, we dropped our bags at the flat and went straight out exploring.
Early in the season, it came to my attention, that this summer there was a lot of fruity patterns. I’m sure you’ve all noticed the pineapple craze!? Initially I wasn’t really sure if I liked or even thought it to be a tad girly. As I shopped around, I noticed that men have also embrace this trend. The top 3 fruits seem to be pineapples, watermelons and bananas; I have found a huge range of products that vary from clothing to accessories… Join this fruit salad, after all, we must take our vitamins 😉
After struggling with an online order for a ‘SikSilk T-shirt (which you can see in my previous posts) I happened to remember that a local Bristol store, 71 Queens, stocks the brand; and, while at the store the owner introduced me to a new brand: ‘SUXCEED‘.
71 Queens is a independent street wear & vintage retailer based in the South West; aiming to promote independent fashion labels from around the UK and abroad. After much success with their store and their own brand ‘I BELIEVE‘, most recently a partnership was struck between two good friends and they launched ‘SUXCEED’. I just happened to go to the store the week the brand was launched and I fell instantly in love with this tee! A combo of western and chinese designs makes for a very interesting mix; it’s a great street wear look!
